Kütahya Design Week 2026 will bring an international community of artists, designers, academics, craftspeople and gastronomy professionals to Kütahya, Türkiye, from 8 to 10 October 2026.
Built around the theme “Form • Texture • Flavor,” the event connects Kütahya’s long-standing traditions of tile, ceramic and porcelain production with contemporary art, visual communication, materials science, gastronomy and the creative industries. For three days, the city will become more than a venue—it will become part of the creative material.
The international programme features guests from Türkiye and countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. Beata Joanna Kotecka, Arkadiusz Marcinkowski, Sofia Kriklii, Maciej Zdanowicz, Nadya Dorovskaya, Laze Tripkov and Behnam Raeesian are among the participants contributing to the event’s talks, exhibitions, workshops and interdisciplinary encounters.
KDW2026 is guided by an extensive institutional and academic structure. Lecturer Dr. Gökhan Akca chairs the Executive Committee, Mehmet Zenci serves as General Coordinator, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Resul Ay serves as Visual Communication and Academia Coordinator.
By bringing local knowledge into direct conversation with international perspectives, Kütahya Design Week 2026 aims to create new connections among heritage, contemporary practice and the future of creative production.
