Alive Poster Festival 2025 brought poster design and contemporary art to life. This year, the festival attracted 565 posters from 44 countries, proving its growing international prestige. Although many art events happen every year, this festival stood out for its global impact and creative energy.
The exhibition opening and award ceremony took place on September 5th in Przemyśl, marking the start of a month full of artistic experiences and inspiring encounters. The festival featured three unique exhibitions: two outdoor post-competition shows across the city and one jury exhibition at Przemyśl Science and Culture Center CASTLE.
Post-Competition Exhibition | City of Przemyśl
The first open-air exhibition displayed 51 posters by artists from 9 countries. The artworks appeared in the Market Square and on the Bridge of the Przemyśl Eaglets. Visitors joined a curatorial walk, learning about the selection process and artistic concepts behind each poster. While walking, attendees experienced interactive learning and a close view of modern poster art.
Post-Competition Exhibition | River of Life
The second exhibition, “River of Life,” featured 69 posters from 16 countries, exploring the link between humans and nature. The show emphasized the essential role of rivers in community life. Both exhibitions were curated by Bartosz Mamak, PhD, ensuring a high-quality artistic presentation.
The exhibitions ran until October 5th, 2025, turning Przemyśl’s urban spaces into a vibrant open-air gallery. The festival connected residents, visitors, and international artists, allowing them to reflect on the power and relevance of contemporary poster art.
