Thaddaeus Ropac Salzburg presents Daniel Richter’s newest paintings. These immersive works balance figuration with abstraction, presenting fragmented figures in blazing, high-contrast colours. They radiate with rebellious vitality and untamed rhythm.
Richter continues to reinvent his visual language. He leaves behind muted surfaces to embrace intense colour fields that appear torn or seared. Fluorescent shapes shoot across the canvas, edged by black lines or erupting freely. Fingermarks pressed into paint reveal direct gestures, charging the canvases with visceral energy.
Each painting rejects fixed time or location, unfolding as an inner terrain—half memory, half dream, half imagination. Richter’s painted worlds remain in constant transformation, alive with tension and electric possibility.
